Our small independent bed and breakfast in Torquay caters solely for adults only. We offer a choice of quality double, twin or super kingsize bedded rooms within an historic Victorian home. The Redholme enjoys an elevated position in a quiet side road on one of Torquay's seven hills, while still being within a short gentle downward sloped walk to Torquay Harbour.
It goes without saying that being in an elevated position we are uphill, this gives our first floor front guest rooms views of the sea, but we do not claim to be seafront! We are here to ensure your stay in Torquay is an enjoyable one. We offer you excellent accommodation with a choice of spacious en suite rooms inclusive of continental or fully cooked breakfast. We have tables for every guest in our breakfast room and we do not allocate sitting times or require any pre-ordering the night before!
You may worry that we are not star rated. We strongly feel that it is a better indication of our standards when we are highly reviewed "every day after every stay" by our guests, and not just once a year by an anticipated inspection.
We have private off street parking for all rooms which is free of charge. Park it and leave it! We are so close to the harbour with its bars, shops and restaurants, you won't need the car until home time!
We are also motorbike friendly and offer secure level parking by the front door at the side of the house.
Our freshwater washdown area for divers and boaters is also fully open. This area is also suitable to dry wet weather gear if you are biking or walking.
For the comfort of our guests we remind you we are unable to accommodate children at The Redholme. We are now solely catering for adults only.
We look forward to welcoming you to our seaside home.
We have had a small number of guests give poor feedback about our location based on their own mobility limitations. We have added these honest photographs and a description of our location to our online sites in order to pre-warn of our sloped situation prior to booking. We strongly consider it bad form to book regardless of this warning and then make issue of it during, then after your stay. We are not a flat level walk to the harbour, we are on a sloping hill, as our street name identifies. We work tirelessly to give guests the best possible stay but geographically we are where we are. If you enjoy working off your evening meal before bed then walking back to The Redholme will suit you very much! If not, then there are other accommodation providers available.
