Complying with the advice

We will only check in one guest arrival at a time, if you arrive with others, please remember social distancing and wait outside until we can facilitate your check in safely.

We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking from an area placed into any kind of special measures by the Government. This would also apply if Devon were locked down.

We will see the year out as we began and in 2022 resume as we did pre-covid and return to normal.

Please follow us on FaceBook to keep as updated as possible.

Visitor Health

You must not visit us if you

  • have symptoms of coronavirus infection, however mild, or
  • have been in contact with some with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 in the last 14 days or
  • should be self-isolating*

*IF you are unsure of the current guidelines on self isolating we would ask you to review them here prior to attending site.

Hand sanitising facilities will remain in use and we would encourage the continued use of them.

Social Distancing

We ask that you kindly consider keeping a comfortable distance from other guests whilst inside the house.

We know that not everyone is in a rush to get back to the pre covid days so we will continue to provide assurance that we will do everything possible to make each guest as comfortable as we can with their chosen measures.

The breakfast room will remain adjusted to allow this and return to normal in 2022.

The tables will remain distanced to comply with distanced dining until then.

When you are served your breakfast we will continue to wear masks and gloves for your protection.

Movement on site

Please respect social distancing when entering and exiting the house. When going for breakfast please allow guests ahead of you to be seated, then follow on afterwards.

Likewise, when using the communal areas and stairs.

Breakfast Service

The help yourself element of breakfast has been removed to prevent cross contamination and to allow for social distancing, so once seated you can remain distanced.

Paul and I will continue to serve everything to your table Post July 19th.

This will include fruit, yoghurt, juices, milk and cereals.

Groups of guests who act as a bubble will be able to serve themselves from the buffet as before.

Numbers of guests

There is no longer a limit of households staying and mixing together.

Track and Trace

In order to assist with local break outs and track and trace we will continue to keep contact details for the 21 days after check out. Guests can scan the NHS QR code at the door which logs you at the property, if you are happy to do so.

You will find local restaurants and other establishments may still be complying with this instruction so downloading the NHS app prior to your stay may save you some hassle!

Face Coverings

From Monday 19th of July 2021 the wearing of face masks has become a personal issue.

We will continue to wear ours and if you want to then please do, you are completely free to choose but if you are not and come close to a guest who is, then we ask that you please respect their choice and continue to treat them with the pre Freedom Day rules :-)

In the event of an emergency, as safely as possible please report to assembly point in the lower car park. Remember to keep 1.5-2 metres away from other guests, less than that distance for no longer than 15 minutes.
