Our bed and breakfast is close to restaurants and the harbour.
It is just a short walk to the harbourside, which offers the Western Lady ferry to Brixham which is usually only £1.00 each way (prices may vary though, please check).
Just beyond the Princess Theatre is the Palm Court complex which houses Pierres Bistrot Restaurant, cafe bar Vista Lounge, Las Iguanas and some other independent bars. This area resembles the French Riviera with its palm trees swaying and the summer breeze!
Whatever you come and stay with us for, Torquay is a real hub. Staying in Torquay gives the flexibility to visit the surrounding areas without being tied to them.
The Redholme is situated in a quiet elevated position which is only a 5-10 minute gentle downward sloped walk to the harbour, with its galleries, cafes, restaurants and the cluster of harbour side bars with evening entertainment and warming outdoor heaters in the colder months.
By the Torquay harbourside you can catch buses which take you around Torbay sightseeing, or to connect with the steam train at Paignton, or you can catch ferries to Brixham or Dartmouth.
As the house enjoys an elevated position it goes without saying that there is a sloped walk back up from the harbour. Most coastal towns are higher than sea level and Torquay is no different. It is a gentle slope back, not even worthy of a gradient warning road sign by the Highways Agency and there is no time or speed limit so take it at your own pace. If you have severe cardiac health issues you may wish to stay at an establishment further away from the harbour, where it is more level and easier to walk, albeit a lot further away from the amenities Torquay has to offer.
The Redholme has car parking spaces for each room. We have recently undergone major works to enlarge our parking area and now all guests are now able to park on the first level tier.
The free off road parking area is only suitable for cars and we are unable to accept larger vans, mini buses, camper vans, contractors or their vehicles.
